We really enjoyed the Motown Museum. I had read reviews from people suggesting they didn't like having a tour and suggesting that the tour was rushed but we didn't feel that. We had a 12.00 tour with a very gracious and funny and charming young lady as our guide and she was entertaining and informative. We had time to read... More

This was so interesting, fun and educational. The cost of admission includes a guided tour. I would definitely plan for the tour. I believe they are every hour on the hour. It's super informative and entertaining. Includes a short video and you get to see so much original equipment, furniture, tons of pictures ect. Loved the stories and details. Takes... More

I am a music lover and true Motown fan, so this was a must see for me. Fortunately we were traveling with friends who live in Detroit because it's literally in a neighborhood off the beaten path. You are only allowed to experience the museum via a guided tour which was essential to get the full depth and breadth of... More

Visiting the Motown Museum is like walking in steps of 20th century musical icons like Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Standing in the basement studio you could go back in time and imagine the sessions that resulted in classic Motown Hits. Our tour guide was also great. She had a passion for the music and history of Motown. This enthusiasm... More

If you love oldies and believe that MoTown is important part of the American music history you better go to this great museum. Our guide was so nice and entertaining. The museum is well kept with actual rooms and studios that artists like Diana Ross and Michael Jackson use! If you are in Detroit the MoTown Museum is a must... More

Nice museum that gives great history about motown and the pioneers that started motown. The only downfall is parking is limited and you are not allowed to take any pictures through out the tour.

Superb preservation of Detroit's rich music history....Motown! My family absolutely enjoyed the visit and the tour guide was awesome! If one is interested in "how to" brand & succeed as an entrepreneur or entertainer, you'll definitely get some insight at this museum.
