Well, it was pink at the time we got the behind-the-scenes tour. All I can say is that a lot of careful thinking goes into stadium design, especially this one. The ground is immaculate, seats are comfortable and views, unobstructed.
We did the Optus stadium tour which we found very informative. Tour guide was great and we got to see the amazingly modern facility that is available for sportsmen. Well worth spending the $25 for the tour
This was the first time I've been to the new Optus Stadium and it was for the first AFL Final ever played there. The atmosphere was electric and I must say it is the best stadium in Australia. The MCG might be bigger but it...More

It is primarily a football stadium and as this is a winter sport I don't think the sun protection factor was a major issue! Apparently 75% of the seats are supposedly protected from the rain- unless it's windy!!! The day I went pretty much all the seats were getting wet even the $8000 per season seats! I agree a little more planning was probably needed- still an impressive stadium in my opinion!
