Wonder boat ride and the lighthouse tour was very unique. The lighthouse has been kept as original as possible and our guide was very knowledgeable. The boat is from the VietNam era...also quite unique. Very enjoyable.

The reason this gets this rating is because the boat ride and tour was excellent. The day we went drizzle but the water was smooth and we were prepared. Captain Tim stopped several times and explained things on the water and added his own flair...More

It was perfect weather, calm seas and blue sky. The boat is open and comfortable for the slow cruise out to the lighthouse. The Captain stops a couple of times on the way out to explain some history, geology and markings. After docking the Captain...More

I'm not a huge history buff, but I found the lighthouse tour very interesting. It was a good mix of guided and unguided free roam. The best part was the sunset views on Lake Superior. Tim, the captain, had a great personality. I'd highly recommend...More

Nice ride out to the lighthouse and keepers' quarters. Lots of history and well-restored and maintained premises. Knowledgable boat captain/tour guide and a most interesting boat, reclaimed from the military and perfect for the short cruise.

We took the tour to the lighthouse and enjoyed the history of the lighthouse as well as of the topography of the island itself. The era of copper mining throughout the Keweenaw was an interesting time in Michigan's past. Enjoy a pasty and think of...More

My wife and I visited on July 13 2016 and found the tour to be a nice balance of guided and unguided. The boat that take you to the lighthouse is smallish which limits the size of the group, making it more personal. There were...More
