PLEASE NOTE: OUR CLINTON TOWNSHIP CHOCOLATE & ICE CREAM SHOPPE IS UNDERGOING RENOVATIONS. FACTORY TOURS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE DURING THIS TIME. OUR NEW STORE IS EXPECTED TO OPEN IN THE FALL OF 2017, AND TOURS WILL RESUME AT THAT TIME. Morley Candy Makers is the place where Sanders chocolate and desserts are created. Our free factory tour is perfect for all ages, and can be customized to fit your group's needs. Our facility is also handicap accessible. Each tour includes a video, a guided walk down our observation hallway to see candy makers at work, free chocolate samples and a stop in our fun candy & gift shop. The first Sanders store opened on June 17, 1875. By the 40's and 50's Sanders products and stores became woven into the traditions of Detroit families. Going to Sanders for a Sundae during a downtown trip, blowing out birthday candles on a Sanders cake and sharing laughs over a bowl of ice cream covered in Sanders Hot Fudge became the standard. Today, there are 10 Sanders locations and our products are shipped throughout the world via our online shop. The candy & gift shop connected to our factory is open daily with limited hours during construction (9a - 6p, Monday - Saturday and 11a - 5p on Sundays). Tours are not available during construction. Please check back in the Fall for current tour schedule.

I'm not sure, but my sister-in-law did work there on the line and she left for a job that offered her more money at $11/hour. She left because it gave her motion sickness working on the line.
