North Point nature preserve is a picturesque small park to hike in, walk your dog, snowshoe in the winter and get outdoors! There are beautiful sand dunes, lots of frontage on Lake Michigan, please leave only footprints.

If you like to enjoy a Lake Michigan dune area by foot this is the place!! Several places to park and well mark foot paths thru out the area. One warning is watch out for poison ivy if you venture off the paths...

We stopped by here to walk down to the beach based on reading about its beauty and lack of foot traffic. Not easy to find the entrance, but we managed. "Trails" not really marked, but pretty easy to figure out which direction the lake is! We enjoyed having the area virtually all to ourselves and listening to the wind and... More

Our B&B was very close to this park so we went down to see it. Very easy access and beautiful views of Lake Michigan. There were wooded trails, disc golf, dunes, and a long beach. Great place to see and do it all.

The nature reserve is just north of the city of Charlevoix, very easy to find. Access by the disc golf course on the south end or at the end of the road right by the water on the north end. Trails are soft and easy hiking, but unmarked so you sort of feel like you are wandering around and exploring.... More

North Point is minutes away from our home near the Mt McSaba ski park. Stunning views of Lake Mi, dunes and forest trails good for a couple of hrs of hiking or snow shoeing. Sledding hill and ice rink are available to visit during your hike. We hit the area at least once a week with our dogs year round,... More
