We loved it so much we will be going back; we're also thinking of buying a home there! The people, food, scenery was beyond our expectations.

Staying a week at Molly and Andre’s equestrian centre was absolute paradise. We rented a car from Liberia Airport and had a pleasant drive on well maintained roads to their place which is around an hour away. The cottage nestled in a little jungle on the property has a very comfortable bed, private shower, air-conditioning and what we needed to make a breakfast. Our neighbours were her beautiful horses in the various tropical paddocks around us. I really appreciated Molly’s professionalism and knowledge in horsemanship. Not only can she take you on the most beautiful coastal or jungle trail rides but she can provide you with excellent lessons. As I am a horse owner, I choose Molly’s centre because she puts her horses first and you will not see any thin, overworked, exploited horses in her herd. All of her horses are healthy, well fed and well trained. How I enjoyed my rides on beautiful Lizano and had the most amazing canter along the beach. My husband is a photographer so we also spent time visiting the area including all the beaches nearby - Playa Negra, Playa Blanca and more. There are some some quaint and reasonably priced restaurants nearby but the best of all was Luchita’s (hope I got that right). Both Molly and André will make you feel very welcomed. I would go back there just for them in a heartbeat 💗

My daughter just rode with CR Equestrian Vacations for our third trip to CR - specifically to ride with Molly! The horses are so well cared for and each rider is matched with an appropriate horse. Molly is a fantastic teacher - my daughter learns so much each time we come out. Our first ride with Molly was when my daughter had just turned 12 - it's great to see how she tailors the rides based on the rider's ability. We both have done the trail rides to the beach and half-day. This year, I did not ride, so my daughter was able to spend more time learning with Molly, and I didn't hold them back. I highly recommend, at the least, a trail ride with Costa Rica Equestrian Vacations - you won't regret it!

Our daughter has ridden with Molly at Costa Rica Equestrian Vacations for 4 years. As a former high school teacher, I can enthusiastically share that she is the most talented instructor for all-around horsemanship skills, dressage and jumping. She is passionate about teaching, and about the care of her horses. My husband and I have both taken lessons with Molly, and attended special events held at her finca just outside Playa Negra, in Guanacaste Costa Rica. Molly has built such a fantastic reputation as an equestrian teacher, that students even come from northern beaches like Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo and Playa Del Coco, and southern areas Samara and Nosara. Her trail horses are so well loved and trained, that a vacationer of any ability is sure to enjoy a trail or sunset beach ride, or special day trip with Molly and her horses. Her compassion for horses, patience, and wide variety of teaching techniques is well suited for children and adults of all levels. She also offers Birthday Party options for children at the farm with Pony painting and horse crafts, group child or adult lessons, and boarding. Enjoy being greeted by the geese, and be sure to say hi to Nemo, the mini-horse while you are there. Located just 35 minutes south of Tamarindo, and right by gorgeous, rural, Playa Negra (i.e. A quaint beach town not overbuilt for a true taste of Costa Rica's naturaliza) Molly's Costa Rica Equestrian Vacations Farm is easy to access. Heading away from the Playa Negra beach and town of Los Pargos you'll pass Max's Bar Latina (best traditional food around, the fresh grilled local Pargo is a must-have when available), Molly's horse finca - Costa Rica Equestrian Vacations is just 5 minutes more on your right heading towards Paraíso.
