The Alpine starts at Boyne Mountain's summit, dropping down in swoops to Deer Lake. Spectacular views are everywhere. Fairways are wide and inviting. Blind shots are nonexistent. For all of its innocence, strategic bunkers and water hazards can take their toll.

Like all Boyne courses, optional tees on holes make it enjoyable whatever one's ability. Woods and spaces separate players. You'll probably encounter more furry and feathered friends than golfers.

This is a great golf course, many interesting holes and tough fast greens. Make sure to play the correct tees or you will have a hard time on many holes. The only reason for downgrading the review is that the bunkers have very little sand in them. Bunkers are supposed to be hazards but the lack of sand made them... More

We played this course on a recent couples trip. The golf course has a nice layout. The greens are super slow and fuzzy. Overall condition is good. Some challenging holes. Pace of play was pretty good. Probably would not play again if in the area again though. Once is enough.

Very friendly and accommodating. The course was in great shape and very unique. It's an 18 minute drive in the golf course to get to the first tee at the top of Boyne Mountain. The course goes mostly down hill with some great holes.

We booked a Fall, coulples tee time and it was well worth the $25 Fall rate! The day was perfect and the course was in great shape.

We played the Alpine Course with a mid-morning tee time as a twosome. The pace of play was excellent and the course was in terrific shape. The greens ran true. The sand was a bit rocky, but I guess I shouldn't have really been there in the first place. Pretty views down to the lake.

The course was in good shape, except for the traps. Besides being numerous, they were quite rocky, but we found the same thing at other area courses. Nice layout, up tee friendly, quite scenic, challenging for any level.

No food and beverage cart to be seen on the course. The range was out of balls when we should up. Took staff 15min to replenish. Only got 10min to warm up prior to round. Pace of play was slow. Took 5.5hrs for 18holes! Course was in good shap though.

A great course to play when staying at Boyne (Mountain or Highlands). You play down the mountain and then into the "fields."

Well maintained, highly trafficked course. I suggest early morning starts. Our experience was very slow just like the Monument course but the course itself was very nice.

Actually the layout of the golf course is nice, however, signage could be a tad better as there are two golf courses at that location. The greens the day we played were playing very difficult ( pin locations) which certainly slowed play down a bit and was very frustrating to the average golfer.
