Through aircraft displays and precious artifacts, the Yankee Air Museum teaches guests about aviation technology and the importance of flight through past wars and and the emergence of commercial aviation in the United States. Yankee Air Museum offers a wealth of educational programs and excels with STEM programming specifically developed for children grades K-12. The Yankee Air Museum also hosts the THUNDER OVER MICHIGAN™ Air Show at Willow Run Airport that has become one of the premier annual aviation events in the country. We were here for the airshow and the museum did an excellent job as usual! We had photo pit passes and it was a great experience. We will be checking on next years show and probably coming back again !

Although we do not have a B-29 Superfortress, we do have a flying, B-17G Flying Fortress and a flying, B-25 Mitchell bomber.
