I've played this course in the summer. It beautiful but for the typical hack it's like a fantasy course. Lots of fun but lots of balls lost. We were actually up their skiing a couple weeks ago and went to the restaurant. Had the absolutely best mussels I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Highly recommended with the shorts... More

We had played The Chief a couple of years ago, and we couldn't wait to return! It is a challenging and beautiful course! We love all the downhill holes. Wish it was offered on "Golf Now". We usually only play their courses, but we had to make an exception. Hope to return during our annual fall visit to Michigan.

The guys loved it and got rained on after 9 and got a rain check for the next day. Difficult with narrow fairways and lots of hills and out bounds areas. Still fun for the average golfer. Would not recommend for beginners. They could make the map bigger for finding holes. Layout different from a normal course as 1, 10... More

What a beautiful, challenging, dynamic Northern Michigan golf course. Nothing but praise for Superintendent and staff. Not pleased with lack of on-course management. Two groups backed up entire course. No ranger or pro management to maintain speed of play

We played golf here over 7 years ago and had forgotten its many hidden challengers. My husband signed us up online for Sunday afternoon for a special rate after 2:00 PM. A credit card was charged but when we arrived it did not show on their records The staff quickly checked us I. Not questioning our reservations. The course is... More

Very challenging course with gorgeous views on every hole! Many rental houses alongside some of the holes which were interesting. Well kept greens, fairways and even the giant beeches they called bunkers were nicely kept which made it easier to get out of...maybe.

This course started out very good about ten years ago, then started going Downhill. since the new owners have bought it it has been turned around and this is evident in the quality of the course, very challenging for any level golfer, and their restaurant/sport bar. the course has a good variety of holes and plays as long as you... Like a neighborhood bar and restaurant. Good food, summer entertainment, sports bar. They are presently adding on. Always a great place especially in the summer evening to sit outside, view the course, eat, drink and listen to local singers. Friendly place to gather for sporting events to cheer on the your team in a large room with two big screen... More

Great Special! Nine holes and a Steak dinner at one of the most beautiful courses I have ever been on. Also one of the most difficult courses I have ever played. I was laughing so hard at how bad I was playing, I started teeing off at the Children's Tee. We had a great time!!!
