I absolutely love Mary and the Toy Museum! I've gone to Beaver Island two years in a row now with CMU and the highlight of my trip is always going to see Mary and help with her store. some old toys on the walls and some small things for little kids for sale. No descriptions or history of the toys but for someone in their sixties or older, may bring back memories.

You have to come here if you're on Beaver Island! Something for everyone. It's much more than a toy museum. Tons of fun stuff for sale - inexpensive! Give a kid $5 or $10 and they will walk out of there with a boat load of unique little treasures. Don't forget to walk through the magical garden out back which... More

This shop has a little of everything- vintage toys decorating the walls- art supplies- gifts- 5 & 10 cent toys- books, etc. It's such a fun place and Mary, the owner is a local artist (you can find her artwork on the coffee mugs she sells in the shop as well as on several other Beaver Island maps and stickers).... If you are lucky enough to visit the island and you have kids (or even if you don't) you have to make time to visit! Mary (the owner) is hands down one of the kindest most caring people you will ever meet. The building is more of a store than a museum but it is fun to look at the... More

The toys take you back to your childhood. The lady who owns the shop is very nice and interesting. She seems to love what she does.

Make the effort to find it because it's an island gem. The museum part is on the ceilings, walls and scattered through the shop.... More
