I grew up going to zoos in Lansing and Detroit, and all I remember are hot little concrete enclosures with depressed, bored animals. Fake trees and rocks, concrete floors instead of dirt or grass, and I was SO SAD for the animals that had to live there. Binder Park Zoo is refreshing in that the animals have large, natural environments... More

Always a wonderful zoo to visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I very much enjoy how big the animal exhibits are.

This zoo is a small zoo and is best for kids in elementary school. They have mostly small animals and a few cool animals but they mostly sleep or are unavailable. The cool things is you can feed giraffes lettuce. You can walk the entire zoo in lessnthan 1 hour. The staff is ok, not mean but not exactly the... More

This is a really impressive zoo as far as it is recessed with trails through a forest like atmosphere so we have brought friends with us who aren't fans of zoos who said they would definitely want to come back. There is a swamp walk too that's at least a mile long of just nature, so good from a health... More

This was a great place if you love animals my boyfriend and I are in our early twenties and have no kids but wanted to do something so the zoo was a great option not just for kids.

Beautiful zoo. Animals are very well taken care of. Lots of walking as the zoo is very large. Plan on spending the day!

We have visited this Zoo so many times. And even had a birthday party/sleepover/breakfast with the animals for our daughter many years ago. It is probably one of the best Zoos in the nation and probably the best in the nation for its size. It is a great trip for the whole family. So many activities and so many ways... More

We went for the Halloween at the zoo, ZooBoo. It was a wonderful time. It is geared for kids, but that does not mean that adults will not have fun as well. Makes sure to get the tickets for the African exhibit on your way to the hayride.

This zoo is great! It's a nice small zoo that offers more of a real environment for the animals. We drive from Detroit area to see it. Wild Africa is amazing, love that I can feed the giraffes whenever and don't need to sign up for a time. worth the drive!

We took our kids here for a visit early in October before the zoo closes. We enjoyed all of the exhibits, but were disappointed to learn that the lion exhibit was closed due to construction. One of the best parts was being able to feed the giraffes. We also enjoyed the cheetah, snow leopard, and bear exhibits. Leading into the... More
