Worth seeing once, but unless you are a Gorey Fan, it wasn't as exciting. There is a beautiful tree across the street from it that I have gone to many times. Well worth the ride out there, just to enjoy the tree. They have a...More

I really enjoyed the museum, it was a lot of fun and very interesting. More for adults than children. Great gift shop and plenty of street parking.

This is Gorey's actual house - the first floor is the "museum," while the second floor is off-limits to visitors. The exhibition is changed annually, and it's primarily a flood of odd things, menus, kitchen utensils, old books, weird little geegaws, etc. that Gorey collected...More

This museum is the home Edward Gorey lived in for his last 14 years. Several rooms of artwork and items he collected were fun to explore. The tour was very informative and a scavenger hunt made exploring even more fun. The current exhibit Anatomy of...More

Went here today with visitors from the west coast. We had a great docent Betty, who helped bring Gorey’s life into focus for us. His art, stories and his well honed sense of dark humor are well represented in this busy house. Guests are encouraged...More

Worth the admission price of $8. A docent is there to give short tours, and then you can wander around as long as you like. Edward Gorey had quite an eclectic collection of books, antiques, and oddities, so even if you bring someone with you...More

Loved this place. The tour guide was fun. I could go back and spend a lot of time. Excellent curation. A favorite was the drawing he did at 18 months, saved by his mom.
