Easy trip from Falmouth. When we arrived volunteers from lighthouse historical society gave us tour inside (built in 1600's) and history of the structure. Awesome views from top too. Cool to see beacon light/learn how it was built. Highly recommended!

Although the lighthouse is not open, there are apparently plans in direction. While the lighthouse itself is very picturesque, the real gem is the location. Cross the street (carefull!) and there is a small but touching memorial to a young woman who died in the Boston flight on 9-11. There is also a somewhat treacherous walk out on the rocks.... More

The views of Vineyard Sound and Woods Hole from this lighthouse are spectacular. The lighthouse itself is an historical site and an architectural gem.

This is a great way to get to and from Falmouth to Woods Hole. Although the lighthouse isn't open yet, this is a beautiful spot for some scenic picture-taking.

Whenever I am driving along this stretch of shore, I usually try to stop and visit this iconic lighthouse. Recently it was acquired by the Friends of Nobsca Light who have great plans to open the light and keepers house to visitors as a museum. The site is magnificent with long views of the ocean and Vineyard Sound. The white... More

Rainy day on the Cape. So we spent the day chasing lighthouses. This was our first stop. Very picturesque.

With so many lighthouses to see in the area, this one is a beauty! From what I understand the property was just bought by someone in hopes of restoration. No one was on site & locations is closed permanently at this time. Lovely location for a family picture! With a stop if your close by!!!

We enjoyed it. Cross the street and check out the memorial at the bench. It brought me to tears. Nice open field next to light house for little ones to run.

A lovely lighthouse, one of the smaller ones but the vista across the street is worth the trip. Lovely memorial , sit on the bench and experience it all.

The present light tower dates back to 1876 while the original light dates to 1828. It is a short drive from Woods Hole on the road bordering the ocean heading toward Falmouth. The light keeper's house most recently serviced as the residence of the Commanding Officer of the Coast Guard sector. It was abandoned as a residence in 2012 because... More
