For a relatively small place, it had lots of content and animals to check out. Parking is on the street.

A nice small aquarium in Woods Hole. You are not going to be blown away by it but a nice place to take small kids for an hour.

We tried visiting the Aquarium on a Monday, but learned it was closed, so we tried again on Wednesday and found it very interesting. We were disappointed there were not larger fish or mammals to view or which were being recuperated. No staff were available...More

The Woods Hole Aquarium specializes in local fish. That can sometimes mean a sea (no pun intended) of grey and brown species with little interest. Not so here. The fact that the aquarium is connected to the scientific work that is done at WHOI and...More

This is a small aquarium that features area marine life with some touch sites for the kids and a look at some fish you've probably never seen before. It's also free and managed by the Woods Hole folks so you can get some questions answered.

I had low expectations of this place and it was great! There were lobsters of every color and a huge variety of fish. The seals passed away this spring, so it is just the inside tanks. TIP: If they are feeding the tanks, go upstairs...More

DEFINITELY a hidden treasure and very interesting...no fee just a donation..a tad hard to locate..but woods hole is small so it's easier..no parking except on the street and it's metered..best to park and walk.

Enjoyed the visit. Museum was very small, could use more creativity in designing tanks. Could use more exhibits especially about their research. The outdoor seal exhibit was closed due to death of seal. Very sad.

Fascinating collection of sea creatures -- I've never seen purple starfish before, and other specimens were also new to me. Nice layout, touch tank for kids.

Great place for the young folks! Some exhibits are hands on, but this is not the New England Aquarium :-) An hour would do it. Walk around the corner to the docks and check out the working boats too, this should keep them... More
