Very quiet beach in the afternoon, so you can bring your dogs on a leash and there was barely anyone here and we had a lot of fun. I didnt let my dog run free because there was a lot of seals in the water and I didnt trust him to go swim after them . Parking was free later... More

The bike path at Head of the Meadow is wonderful to ride, especially in the mornings. However it has developed many cracks and bumps from tree roots over the years and needs to be resurfaced. I hear that this may happen next year!

We stopped later in the afternoon and it was pretty much deserted. Parked right at the beach and walked over. Very wide beach and there was water coming in with the tide, creating an inner and outer beach. Waded across the incoming water to the outer beach. Very clean and sandy. Took lots of cool pictures, watched birds drop and... More

There is a small parking lot on a dirt road at High Head Road. From here it's a 10 minute walk on a sandy trail, through beautiful dunes, to the beach. I didn't see another soul both mornings I went. Heard plenty of birds. When you get to the beach, it's just an amazing, sweeping vista. I saw probably hundreds... More

Head of the Meadow Trail is beautiful but is High Head that is Gorgeous! At the north end of Head of the Meadow trail there is a small parking area. Instead of heading south onto the trail, go due east on the access road to the ocean. A 6/10 of a mile walk to God's creation. The end of the... More

This is a lovely asphalt trail between the dunes near the ocean and inner hills of west Truro. A spring trail brings you above the wetlands and gives a panoramic view of the dunes and the ocean. Really nice way to spend an afternoon. Saw almost nobody in January.

The biking trail starts next to the parking area, which you access by taking the left just before High Head Rd slopes upward....It's true that the asphalt on the biking trail looks to be pretty old and is bumpy to ride on. But the surroundings are so beautiful that it's work it. About halfway in, there is a small bridge... More

F- is being generous for the bike trail. The bike path is a bumpy unkept paved path that is an embarassment to the National Seashore. There are no views, no interpretative signs and no apologies. This is one path to avoid on the Cape. Someone at the National Park Service deserves to get fired over this one. This is no... More
