We visited several lighthouses today and this was probably my favorite. The setting is beautiful and since tickets were cheap ($6), there were only 66 stairs and the skies were clear, we made the climb. It starts with a brief history on Washington's commission to...More

We finally made it to Cape Cod lighthouse. The nearby museum was closed for the season, so we will be back to check it out. Nearly 70 steps to reach the top, and a minimum height to go up with little ones. They keep the...More

Always enjoy visiting different lighthouses especially on the Cape. This was so interesting as it is the oldest one and was nearly lost by the sea. The climb to the top on the tour was easy and the view specular.

Free Parking. Walked past a group on the nearby golf course on our way to the site. Short, inexpensive tours of the lighthouse are available. Gift shop, exhibits and rest rooms on site.

The lighthouse was open that evening for the full moon and it was great to be able to tour the inside and then to watch the moon rise over the Atlantic. Very informative and great fun. Bring bug spray!!

We stopped here to tour the lighthouse. We had a moderate wait of about ten minutes. That was the perfect time to look at the exhibits and watch the video. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The climb was easy at the bottom and a...More
