Always have been a Rockwell fan. This was our 2nd visit and was every bit as good as the first. Tour guides were informative and answered questions thoroughly. Added bonus was a visit from Eddie Locke a Rockwell model. Nicely done presentation. But the artwork here is the real story. Just inspirational work. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We've visited the museum several times before, so this time we concentrated on the museum gift shop. The current exhibition focused on Hanna Barbera, there was a lovely model railroad layout in the lobby, and the museum shop had a lovely variety of items. You can't go wrong in visiting this museum.

It was crowded on a very rainy Fall weekend but the museum was still delightful. We go to lots of museums and galleries in NYC. This is unique and spacious. Fully dedicated to Rockwell including works by artists who influenced him and whom he, in turn, influenced. Informative and interesting. While I'm not a major Rockwell fan as an artist,... More

Museum successfully blends their own collection, loaned artwork and headline worthy touring exhibitions to provide visitor a good 1-2 hour of nostalgia of popular American artistry. Building and grounds require the guest to adjust any expectation of a quaint local display of a few prints. It's collection and presentation are are accessible and curated at the highest standards matching any... More

Until I visited this museum, I had very little knowledge of and appreciation for Norman Rockwell's art. During our visit, I quickly became deeply engrossed in expanding my understanding of this American icon. What a fabulously wonderful learning experience for us. We look forward to going back.

This museum centering on Norman Rockwell is terrific. It is small, easy to maneuver and even carpeted! Be sure to take advantage of a guided tour, about 30 minutes, with a docent. It was so informative as is the 12 minute movie. He certainly captured humor and history in his lifetime of artwork.

We went to the museum and did ther otur but were not impressed. The cost to the value was a bit lopsided and so we felt we missed something.

We are not Rockwell aficionados but we do appreciate his timeline of a history of Americans and Americana. It was nice to see the Saturday Evening Post Timeline which must have covered more than half a century and many of his originals. There were 2 busloads of schoolchildren sitting in well behaved groups listening to a docent but that required... More
