Touristy, but fun to walk around. New England at its finest. Lots of shops right on the water. Unique to most anywhere we have been. Very historical for sea lovers.

Yes, its touristy but it is full of charm and the working harbor is worth seeing (I could spend all day watching the boats). The area has character, from the store fronts to the weathered boats. As a photographer I wish I had more time...More

I can not shower enough praise on Rockport or Bearskin Neck. Its stunningly beautiful, quaint and met all our expectations of New England all at once. We toured New England for 7 days and Rockport / Bearskin Neck was our highlight. Some lovely cafes, shops...More

This is just a lovely little city to walk around. There a number of eclectic shops featuring local art and jewelry. it sits at the edge of the harbor and has a very nice vibe going on.

Not all will be open, so call ahead or contact the Chamber of Commerce. Some shop owners have seasonal shops down south.
