Its unfortunate this is such a great spot, but the staff are so unpleasant with a pretentious and sour attitude. Our gay/lesbian crowd dropped in to dance and have fun, then we were faced with an uptight and rude staff. So, it's not the gay/straight issue, it's just all around not a welcoming spot to have fun! There are many... More

Went on a Friday night. It's a spacious club with fun music and lots of bars without any wait for drinks (always a spoiler when all you'd rather be doing is dancing or hanging with friends). Everyone is friendly and there is generally a great vibe.

Always have to hit the A-House when I am in the area. Good drinks, great staff! Built in the late 1700s and still going strong. I usually go to the "little bar"; however there are other rooms with varied entertainment.

The bad reviews are from straight couples and bachelorette parties, what a surprise (not). My husband and I were at the A House last July, and will be there again this July. We are a gay married couple, and we LOVE this bar. Why? Because the A House is an "old school" gay bar - a haven from the "I'm... More

Me and my fiancé were visiting Provincetown out of season and asked a few locals where is good to drink this time of year. Everyone pointed to the "A House" and mentioned that it is flamboyant and a great atmosphere for everyone. Sounded perfect so we thought we would visit. We wish we hadn't!! We walked in and got a... Aw come on, this historic club was filled with people just wanting to laugh, dance and dance some more. The little bar was cozy and adorned with gay celebs from years past. This place is a must.

My boyfriend and I love going to Provincetown, we are very accepting and nonjudgmental people. We love going to all the bars and restaurants. This past summer in August we figured that we would try the A-House. I walked up to the bouncer and he says to me "I wouldn't come here if I were you" and I said why?... More

The "A" house as they call it was built over 100 years ago and is a great stop. It's your basic beer selections but just looking at the structure and appointments is awesome. It was off season so the larger dance hall and bar was closed but the manager let us take a peak and it was equally as impressive.... More

This always my first stop when out and about in P-Town. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, the bartenders don't get any better. One of them remembers what I drink! Highly recommend the "little bar".
