I come from a smaller city with much better art, (Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau, WI) and found the pretentiousness amusing. It didn't help that it was AFTER paying $10.00 admission the staff explained that the Hopper lecture had started and was full, with...More

On my last day in Provincetown I strolled to PAAM just to explore this small but rather lovely Gallery / Museum and to view their temporary exhibitions . I had heard that they had or were in the process of acquiring this largely unseen collection...More

The museum itself is excellent. Very modern and up beat A good review of local artists. BUT. The Jazz series they have gives some of the best jazz in the north east. Very small and intimate venue and it's only $15! If your only memoirs...More

After having seen a documentary on the life of Edith Lake Wilkinson I must admit its what drew me to Provincetown. And having visited the museum and seeing the last painting left behind by her exhibit "House with Pumpkins" I was not disappointed by seeing...More

Visited the PAAM on our February vacation. We loved the juried art display of local artists. The PAAM is a great, quiet retreat from a day of shopping.

Free admission (donations accepted) on Fridays when other galleries have openings, too. Great fun and so interesting seeing art from Provincetown's famous artists. Special shows and collections can be viewed throughout the year. We're lucky to have this place in our community.

I was very disappointed with the museum. Time would have been better spent in the galleries which are plentiful all along that street. All the art was modern except for one room which was only moderately interesting. Sad that they didn't have more variety!

Cute art museum! I enjoyed the galleries inside and even got ideas for my own BFA gallery in the spring! I would return! The art is more relatable and not so modern!

We didn't happen to like the two current exhibits but that happens, i guess. The overall impression is that Ptown art scene is maybe a bit too insular--- the 50s-80s are gone, and there's a lot of new stuff out there in the world but...More
