Winslow Farm Animal Awareness is a non-profit charitable organization...

Winslow Farm Animal Awareness is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to the rescue and care of abandoned and mistreated animals. Established in 1996, Winslow Farm exists for one purpose: to provide love and care to the many animals without a home or for those that have been abused and/or neglected by their previous owners. A sanctuary where animals can learn to trust humans once again.

In the fall of 1997, Winslow Farm opened it's doors to the public as an animal farm, offering the public an opportunity to meet and interact with the 183 animals that live on the farm. In addition to an animal sanctuary, Winslow Farm offers a variety of animal-oriented activities, including birthday parties for children, pony rides, group educational tours, nature hikes and trails, as well as special events occurring during the holiday seasons. These activities serve to educate the public about neglected, abused, and abandoned animals, general animal care, and allows animals the exposure to a population of "good" humans that these animals can learn to trust.

Our Mission is to provide a high quality "stay-for-life" animal sanctuary, dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of mistreated and abandoned animals, to promote the prevention of animal mistreatment through quality educational programs and events, and to advocate the preservation of wildlife habitat.

My husband and I went before Christmas and were charmed. Rustic setting is appropriate for the animals and they are so loved and well cared for. I "adopted " an alpaca to help with her care. All the volunteers knew the critters stories and were so kind to them. Deb, the founder/owner was a tad frazzled as it was an... More

This is a must-visit for animal lovers! They have a nice assortment of animals and the staff is very friendly. Follow them on Facebook to find out dates for special events. They had a very kid-friendly Halloween event when we visited. We can't wait to visit again! We made friends with a very sweet donkey. :) A great time for... More

I went here for the easter egg hunt. It's a small sanctuary and many of the animals are very old. I thought the Easter egg hunt was very overpriced for what you got, but recognize the fee is what is used to keep their operations going. I wouldn't do it again though.

We came here as vegans...for us this was an emotional and touching experience. It was $10 per person for entry and we decided to bring donations as well. It is easy to find what donations are needed on their website. There is someone there to tell you about the animals (some can't be pet and none can be fed due... More

Ok, so I get and appreciate the whole "rescued animal thing" and maybe we went on a bad day but there wasn't much to see for the price we paid. I know the money goes toward the animals but I thought it was a bit much. The lady who runs it was doing some training with the horses who were... More

So hard to put into words how special this place is. We've known Debbie the owner/operator/creator for fifteen years and have witnessed her continued improvement and expansion of this animal haven/retreat/refuge! She just doesn't quit!! She's never "done" at the farm...just when another amazing addition for the animals and guests has been erected, she's onto the next!! I believe Debbie... More
