Amazing variety of ancient, classic and modern art. Very high quality. And in the heart of Northampton so plenty of other sites, shops and good places to eat.

Don't miss the bathrooms downstairs as they are really works of art, I'm not making this up. Totally surprised at how good this museum was. A quality collection with a lot of individual pieces by the great artists. Loved the Diego Rivera's and the Tamayo...More

This is a really terrific museum and the collection is less limited than most museums in a relatively small liberal arts college. Don't forget to check out the bathrooms (both genders)- they're really awesome!

The permanent collection has some interesting pieces, including a striking Diego Rivera self Portrait and of course lots of 20th century masters. When we visited there was an interesting temporary exhibit of artifacts from the Roman vacation villas near Pompeii.
