What a lovely piece of nostalgia. Such a beautiful ride on a vintage piece of history. Not your typical train but the Bud car was such a nice ride. The staff was so wonderful and knowledgeable and professional. So very well organized and professional for...More

Nice morning ride. I appreciate the preservation of the train and the history. Very nice volunteer crew, clean train, and easy reservation and check in. Honestly, the view could be better (trains always go through the back side of town), but go with an open...More

Not sure about the other reviews, but we did not have a bad time on this trip! We have three children under the age of five, and they all enjoyed the train! Very nice staff and history given as we ride the short trip. Especially...More

We booked our tickets after seeing it advertised along with the (allegedly) haunted Hoosac Tunnel. White we were then informed that the train does not go through (or even near) the tunnel we kept our seats as the tour was still a 'haunted history' tour,...More

This is a lovely 1 hour train ride through the scenic and historic Hoosac Valley in northwestern Massachusetts. Nice, clean, air conditioned (and heated in cooler times of the year) train ride. Informative narration provides history on the rail line and the North Adams &...More

Very DISAPPOINTED!!! Train smelled musty, there was really nothing to see. Old fridge and garbage, car junk yard....and the train goes in a straight line until it gets to the next station. Then the train goes backwards so you can see the same stuff. It's...More

Very inexpensive. Train ride was very uneventful in that the scenery was practically non-existent. Ride was along a spur track adjacent to a lot of industry. Might be OK for kids that have never rode a train. Would not recommend.More

I'm sorry you did not enjoy your trip, but I believe your criticism is a bit harsh. While there is some industry along the tracks, and we provide a narration describing the historical nature of that industry, we are also surrounded by mountains on both...More

Thank you for your feedback - we are working to add an additional mile of track and hope you will come back when we do. However at this time, it is only an hour long at this time, as we advertise.

What a great addition to the local area! Brand new train rides on a brand new train (sort of). On a recent Saturday morning, the 4 of us (two couples) took a slow ride on the Hoosac Valley train for a one-hour, 8-mile round trip....More
