I take daily walks in the Webster Nature Reservation without ever repeating the exact same path. There are many, many trails with interesting rock formations, varied vegetarian, and interesting landscapes. You can walk alongside creeks, climb big rock formations and stretch atop of the rocks, or walk along old rock fences. You can take guided tours to learn about salamanders,... More

The walking path along this city reservoir makes one feel as if you are on a county path. Often there are bird life to observe.

I have walked this reservation for 30 years. Wonderful and varied habitat. Be sure to go on both sides of the tracks. The Webster area was an old estate with the relics of very elaborate English type garden. Great rock climbing, always something new.

A men made pond of medium size. Average walkers would go around twice. It is very easy to get there. The nicest time is April whenthe cherry trees are all in bloom. Than its really fabulous. The otherside is part of a very beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous houses. Sits on route 9 of Brookline- Newton Ma.

Hammond Pond Reservation has nice, easy walking trails. It is well-known by rock-climbers for some big ledges there, so it's interesting to watch people scaling. Some nice views of Hammond Pond. It's really a little jewel, surrounded, as it is, by big shopping malls and busy roadways and developed neighborhoods. You also can walk through it to Houghton's Garden, which... More

An urban oasis bisected by Hammond Pond Parkway and the Green Line I've found no solitude here! Parking is best at the back of the Mall by the pond but you must contend with mall employee parking year 'round and holiday shoppers packing the place in winter. If you really need a stroll among the puddingstone this about the best... More

Summer time everything is green. Multiple paths wander through the area touching on Hammond Pond covered with lily pads, geese and ducks. Watch out for the occasional trolley that moves through the Reservation at 15 - 20 mph. Fall generates lots of color, but you are below most of it, so the trees actually look better from a distance. The... More

Beautiful early spring day and decided to take a walk while my daughter was in class. Small (1.25 miles end to end) park adjacent to the shopping mall and abutting the Hammond Pond. Part of a conservation area. A pretty stroll and I imagine fun for birdwatchers and photographers at the right season. Families walking dogs and young mountain bikers... More
