Spent a pleasant evening prior to our 7pm dinner reservation just strolling through the park and sitting watching the activity on the river. Beautiful weather helped, but so did the well laid out park and facilities.

This park is not large but it is really beautiful. It is connected to the Newburyport boardwalk, so after you enjoy relaxing in the park, you can stroll on the lovely boardwalk. There are so many good restaurants in the area to get take out...More

Sitting right on the Merrimack River waterfront, this park is a great place to watch the sun come up, take a stroll, or just relax for a while, on the boardwalk. It is basically and nice city park where people can come for a picnic,...More

Always lovely. It’s on the waterfront. So, it shines in Summer. It’s thought out, yet not effusive. It’s well maintained. It’s safe. It adds to Newburyport’s “charm” Great spot to sit and veg.

Our walk along the riverfront on the scenic boardwalk was the perfect way to experience the Newburyport charm. Vacationers, locals walking their dogs, strolling pedestrians out to enjoy the marine life passing by, all add to the ambience as you gaze at picturesque Salisbury, across...More

Way way back, when this was a ship building town (and still a part of Newbury), someone had the foresight to construct a boardwalk along the shore, with uninterrupted views of the Merrimack River and the boats moored there. It still exists today, with plenty...More

There is public parking adjacent to the park as well as across the street and a short stroll away, and you will pay. It does tend to be busy on summer weekends, but usually there is enough parking.
