The Maudslay State Park has a variety of natural plants, winding walking trails, small stone built bridges, vast stands of mountain laurel, all encased within pine trees. There are small paths that will lead you down to the Merrimack River. From there you will have...More

Maudslay State Park is a great place to hike. It varies from flat areas to hills, woods and fields. It’s a beautiful spot and I’m lucky to have found it.

Loved the well-maintained trails. Everything was green and the landscape is varied. Be ready to cover some distance if you really want to see the park.

My favorite place in Newburyport. A big beautiful Massachusetts State Park situated on the banks of the mighty Merrimac River. A true forest shangri la!

Nice little park with a small childrens play area and toilets. Very nice for off leash dog walking in the woods and everyone seems to clean up after their dogs, so very clean.

Yes, they do. There is Cashman park near downtown of which has certain hours when dogs can run free. Winnekenne castle in Haverhill has 5 mile trail loop of which dogs can be off leash.
