We have been getting these chocolates since our grandparents sent them to my parents when I was a kid. Recently, new ownership, but they have hewn to the old recipes and the chocolates remain stellar. Also on two occasions, once under old ownership, once just this December, the chocolates ordered did not arrive on time so they either sent them... More

This is a lovely shop. The grounds are well maintained. I envy the solid oak front door. The shop owner was a class act. The treats are mouth watering.

A box of their delicious chocolates arrives as a gift. SO delicious. Great packaging. If you are in Marblehead it is a great shop to visit.

Stowaway Sweets has been a Marblehead icon for almost one hundred years. We were blown away by the wonderful setting for the store and the incredible selection of fine chocolates that greeted us. Very quaint atmosphere and helpful staff...no hard sell but a free sample seals the deal. We bought several pound boxes to give to friends. Recommend the Meltaways... More

My husband and son bought me Stowaway Sweets for Valentine's Day. They hand-picked all dark chocolates - my favorite - and these were better than any from Belgium that I've had (and we have relatives in Brussels who bring them to us often)! Fabulous! I can see why the White House chooses Stowaway Sweets - they are incredible.

Delicious treats, beautiful setting (koi pond garden) & kind service make this a "must" stop in Marblehead. My husband just gave me a box with their signature (& unrivaled) meltaways, and raspberry and orange dark chocolate creams for Valentines Day. Nothing could be sweeter...or more appreciated. Unfortunately I was unable to stow any away for later. Too yummy~

This place hasn't been in business for all these years because the chocolate does not make your mouth tingle. Give yourself a treat by stopping and treating yourself to a Marblehead tradition
