Stopped here after staying on a quick overnight to Salem. There was a lot of information to look but this was a temporary home for the visitor’s center. The new one opens in April. It was enjoyable to look around for a few minutes but it was the off season so most stuff listed was closed. Their employee barely said hello and kept her face in her phone the whole time. I hope to visit in season at the new one building.…

Our purpose for visiting Lexington was to see a statue dedicated to my husbands relative Captain John Parker (leader of the minutemen). We decided to check out the visitors center to see if we could find more information on him. The girl working inside was so nice and my husband got into a long conversation about Parker with her. She really knew a lot about the history (she wasn't just there to sell souvenirs).…

We were very disappointed to arrive at 9 o'clock and find that the visitor's center has been temporary relocated to the Cary Building at 1605 Massachusetts Avenue. This is about an 8 minute walk from the Green. It is at the other end of Lexington Center. There is parking, and if the web site had mentioned this temporary change, we would have gone directly there. However, it was a lovely fall day and we did enjoy walking by all the stores in Lexington Center. They are building a new visitor' center next to Buckman Tavern which is scheduled to be open in 2020. It looks huge.…
