We planned a weekend in Lenox because it had already closed when we were here last year--and we were not disappointed! It is an amazing place. The house itself is beautiful--outside and in--and the rooms retain both the flavor and taste of the original owners,...More

This is the house of two artists who were great painters and lead interesting lives. The wife was also an opera singer with considerable talent. The guides are friendly and well informed. The grounds are lovely.

My wife and I visited FMHS in early August 2016. I hadn't read the brochure carefully and was expecting to see another grand house ("cottage") of the 1880s. Instead, the first treat was a modernist house and studio of two artists, George Morris and Suzy...More

The art collection alone of this couple is worth the visit. A conceptual home descriptive of the artistic sensibilities of an interesting couple.

Interesting tour of home that took not much time. More bang for your buck at the Mount-Edith Whartons home and gardens. The tour guide Kerry was well spoken and informative.

Thanks. Thiis is helpful to know. Can you tell me when the best potential time might be with respect to the available staff?

Is the house handicapped accessible? My husband has a walker and cannot climb stairs. Thanks, Aimee Levy

Yes, we have accommodations for those who cannot climb stairs and have a wheelchair or walker. We access the different levels with a golf cart transport. It is ideal to call ahead to make sure enough staff are available.
