We visited on a frigid day in late December. We were bundled up and took our time to walk the trails. What a great time we had. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Will be visiting again in the spring to hike the upper trails.

This was our first time here and both of us are out of shape so we took the easy trails and walked along the Beaver trail. It was still very pretty for the beginning of November. WE didn't see the beavers but we did see...More

Many miles of wooded trails. Some are relatively easy but still with lots of roots to step over. We chose a three mile hike that had some very steep climbs (the ledge trail) that had nice views. Very quiet and well marked trails. Good early...More

We spent a couple of hours walking the various trails through the woods on a balmy, October afternoon. Sadly the foliage was not colourful this year but it was still pleasant strolling along, listening to the various birds and spotting chipmunks as they darted about.

Luckily we got there early and during a weekday so the trails were quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the various areas: woods along a stream, walking along a pond.

Trails take you down past a small stream into a shallow valley, and then follow the border of a beaver pond. You feel quite remote even from the calm surroundings of Lenox. Don't expect to see the beavers because they're not generally active during visiting...More

We saw no wildlife, except for a few catfish. Trails were fairly well marked. Outbound and inbound directions were especially helpful. The short, one hour, tour was clearly mapped out by the admissions person. Far longer and more difficult hikes are available for more healthy...More

Cost only $13 total for three of us (2 adults and 1 toddler). We did the Pike's Pond hike and though it was challenging in spots it was a good kind of challenging. Very nice scenery and really peaceful.

This sanctuary is a pretty place to take a nice, leisurely walk. You can choose from all different routes depending on the length of a hike you want. The scenery is pretty although we didn't see any sweeping vistas of the mountains. It's mostly shaded...More

We didn't do any hiking - just walked around the pond. Very pleasant. We didn't see much wildlife on the day we were there.
