The memorial is fine but very simple. Not worthy of a detour - enjoy the surrounding beaches instead

The memorial on Lewis Bay was built by the citizens of Barnstable to commemorate John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States. The stone wall memorial has the presidential seal on the back side and a portrait of Kennedy on the front and a small fountain. Around the fountain is inscribed the following JFK quote: “I believe it... More

The museum is a nostalgic trip through JFK's life and his family ties to Hyannis. There is a new exhibit featuring the life of Rose Kennedy. The museum is getting ready to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of JFK's birth. It would be a good place for a field trip for students in the area. There is a program set up... More

Overlooking the picturesque waters of Hyannis Harbor, sits the John F Kennedy Memorial. What a beautiful and peaceful tribute this is to a great man who served his country with distinction. Take the time to wander around the well kept grounds and take a few photgraphs to remember and reflect. Popular with the bus tours and car parking is available.... More

The museum is right on Main Street in Hyannis, the heart of the village where there are great shops and restaurants. The museum always has an exhibit about the Kennedy family or the administration, and the exhibits are very well done. There's a statue of President Kennedy out front, and people are always sitting on the benches nearby and taking... More

Not that much to see other than be outdoors with a lovely location near water views. Restroom facilities in park like area. Feeling of history around area. Near Hyannis Yacht Club where Ted hung out. Small beach area and nice playground.

JFK was a Navy man and an avid recreational sailor who loved Hyannisport. This memorial helps to center the visitor in the calm beauty of Cape Cod amid the bustle of summertime Hyannis. That's why he and Jackie came back to Hyannis when they could - to get centered again after the bustle of Washington DC.

It's easy to spend a few moments at Hyannis harbor at the Memorial. It is large enough that one can read the information while others gather as well.

Took a visitor here, the only way I get to see things sometimes. Had shown them the museum in town but they also wanted to see the Memorial in spite of it being a cold, damp, dreary day. Took their photo in front of the Memorial but had to lighten it up as the gray sky made the Memorial and... More
