We took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard on the Hyline ferry. Staying at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel, we literally left the hotel at 8:50 and were on the 9:00 ferry. The ferry is modern and clean and offers a drinks and snacks bar. There...More

We took the high-speed Hy-Line Ferry between Hyannis and Nantucket for a days' visit. It is clean, comfortable and fast (an even hour). It left right on time, both trips. The one drawback is that it is expensive - about $150 pp round trip.

We had a comfortable, quick visit from Hyannis to Nantucket. The ferry was right on time departing and arriving both places. There was plenty of parking options when we arrived to Hyannis. We had a great trip and will definitely do it again!

Great experience with Hy-Line for my first trip to Nantucket. Clean new boat, fast trip, and flexible staff (I changed a few things about my trip on the phone in advance). The galley produced strong, hot, and affordable coffee.

The high speed ferry cuts your time to Nantucket in half. The ride is a bit pricey and if the sea is questionable the ferry is cancelled which is done for safety but is a problem if you need to get on or off the...More

Took the high speed ferry to Nantucket today. Staff was friendly, ferry was clean and spacious. If you are heading to the island I recommend this carrier.

Took the Hy-Line high speed ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Good trip and just an hour long. Also booked the bus tour for our arrival. This was a 2 1/2 hour guided tour round the island. Very scenic trip with frequent stops for photos. The cost...More

We will be going to Nantucket on Tuesday, July 25th. So far there will be 5 adults and two children under 6. What are the prices? Should I book ahead of time? Once on Nantucket, where would anyone suggest we go, and what should we see? Thanks!

A day trip to the Vineyard on Hy Line drops you in Oak Bluffs and I assume picks you up in oak bluffs at the end of the day We would like to spend most of the day in Edgartownl what would be the easiest least expensive way (after getting off the ferry) to travel from Oak bluffs to Edgartown and back to Oak bluffs to get the afternoon ferry when you don't have a car? Thanks for any info :)

Definitely the Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority. You can catch the bus nearby where the boat docks at Ocean Park (about a 5-minute walk). The fee is $1.25 per town, per person or you can buy an all-day pass for $8 per... More
