If you happen to be on the south shore of Boston-Nantasket Beach has some of the best sunrise/sunset/rainbow in the area. The beach during hot summer days gets quite crowded. It is a must to check tide charts before coming since the tide overtakes the beach at high tide

Though, I miss Paragon Park and the infamous roller coaster, Nantasket Beach has been a frequent visiting place for me since childhood and remains so today. It's clean, clear, emerald green waters are great for swimming, paddle boarding, sailing and yes, I have done a shore entry scuba dive! This beach is good for people of all ages and abilities!

If you are visiting or live south of Boston, then Nantasket Beach is definately a place that you need to visit and experience. It definately has the vibe and population of an urban beach, but has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and be themselves. The beach in generally clean, and there are plenty of places to grab... More

What can I say, the sunsets are often breathtaking looking at Boston. Often rainbows too. The water is always cold for me but this is a perfect length to take great strolls and still have all the amenities you need. Parking is tight at times.

Be prepared for lower than average stay. Way pricier than you'd expect for what you get. Super outdated past the lobby (don't be deceived) and EXTREMELY noisy. Rooms are the tiniest we've ever seen. Can hear verbatim the voices on the street below (from the 2nd floor) and the hallway. Sorry hotel not worth it.

Gorgeous sandy beach. Too cold to do anything but walk in it during winter. In the summer it is a popular local beach.

In winter there are so few people on the beach you probably won't run into anyone. Of course the water temperature is a balmy 38-40 degrees. There aren't many shells on the beach. The sand is firm for walking. Tide runs right up to the seawall.

was there in fall and loved it... in Summer it should be a must do and a place I imagine should be extremely lovely. Beautiful scenery, lots of small restaurants, stores and hotels. Give it a try!

The area is just wonderful. You can walk around on the beach or just sit and enjoy staring at the waves and the ocean. It is a very relaxing place and a great place to walk your dog.
