This is a nice stroll along the Housatonic River. It's not very long, but you quickly step into serenity and can enjoy the river written so eloquently about by W.E.B. DuBois. It's an easy walk for all ages.

Nice little walk along the river makes for some good after breakfast/lunch exercise. The only downfall of this walk is that it stops midway and you have to walk back out and around through some streets to get back on it. It's no longer than a few blocks

Short walking path with some good areas to see and walk. Bad points are the path is two small, improper accesses due to the path being separate by privately owned homes and land. You can start next to Rite Aid thru the alleyway, but then you will have to leave the river walk behind St. Peters Church and walk approximately... More

Pretty much a waste of time - not maintained, too short, a gap in the middle, hard to find. Just not worth looking for (people in the area had never heard of it). We ended up just walking around the neighborhood.

Walk along the Housatonic. Both the section of the river, and how the walkway is designed reflect cost-cutting and low-budget design and construction. Walkways along the three bridges and/or walkways across the river could have made it -- well, something. Still, it's the foundation for what could be a river walk that somebody other than a dedicated riverwalk hiker such... More

We found this river walk to be short -- about 20 minutes -- and pleasant as it follows a well-constructed path above the Housatonic River. It runs by private homes, where owners gave permission for the walk to be constructed. And it has two sections, upstream and downstream. To do both requires visitors to leave the riverbank and walk through... More

If you're in the area, certainly take the walk. It's a nice little path and we enjoyed it. It's definitely not a "destination" though. Had we traveled more than 10-15 minutes to experience it, then it would've been a disappointment.

This is a lovely walk along the river, steps away from the main road through the town. On hot days it provides a cool, shaded place to walk. It was built, and is maintained, by volunteers to provide a pleasant trail and also to help to preserve the riverside ecosystem.
