Kudos to the staff and management . Everything from the campgrounds to the restrooms were about as spotless as possible . Sites are well spaced . Not suited for large RVs but some plenty large enough for pop ups or smaller trailers. Plan ahead if...More

Beautiful! The air is about 10 degrees cooler, and the activities are endless. Swiming in the very clean Lake, picnicing in the day use area, a handicap accessible trail complete with dock and gazebo, camping, hiking and an awesome Nature center.

We have hiked here often and bring our dogs- as long as they are on a leash. There is a boat launch where dogs can be off leash to swim here.

Good spot for a hot day. Pretty State Forest with a beach, very family friendly. There were 2 lifeguards, the water was refreshing and shallow enough to be great for the kids. Nice walking paths through the woods an around the lake.

No. They sell firewood mat the front gate. (Mass does not allow you to bring firewood into state parks.) . There is a general store in Goshen, about 2 miles from the park entrance which sells canned and boxed groceries... More

Is the lake private property owned by the campsite, or will campers need to buy fishing permits to fish the lake?

It's public water so a Mass freshwater fishing license is required . In reality almost any body of water in New England requires a fishing license including inshore marine .
