This is my favorite kind of place to buy the work of local artists. Being a co-op, the prices are lower because the art is being sold directly by the artists who display their work. There was a great variety of art work sold, and the artist there at the time was so friendly. I bought a wonderful work of... More

So many artists in one great location, whether finding something for yourself, your home or a unique gift for someone. I always bring my out of town company here. Great atmosphere during their open house evenings, usually tasty treats, beverages and sometimes live music. Of course there is jewelry, pottery, photographs, paintings, fish prints, and stained glass. One of a... More

We visited Gloucester because Local Colors sounded interesting - and we weren't disappointed. Beautiful, professionally crafted items abound here - glass, stone, and fine metal jewelry, paintings, stained glass, ceramics and mixed media. We spent close to an hour looking at all the eye candy. This is a co-op staffed by the artists whose work is displayed, so they can... More

I have visited the gallery on many occasions and I like the fact that it is a co-op and the artists are featured regularly in a revolving spotlight. VERY NICE!

Great shop filled with the works of local artists. Prices range from inexpensive to higher end art. It is a great place to find gifts made on Cape Ann.

Whenever my girlfriend and I travel, we like to find cool local shops to check out, and avoid the normal tourist fare. Local Colors, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, features an interesting variety of art from all local artists. Not only is the art wonderful, but the artists themselves work the shop, so you can meet them and talk about their passions... More

This is a great little venue on Main Street in downtown Gloucester. It features a wide range of original work by local artists and craftspersons. It's totally artist operated, so you will get to meet one of the coop artist members who is working the store. Paintings, glassware, jewelry, one-of-a kind-clothings, pottery, furniture & much, much more. Don't miss it!

Local Colors artists cooperative in downtown Gloucester MA is a fabulous source of local fine art and crafts, with at least one artist on hand at all times (on duty, since it's a co-op) to answer questions and chat about all things local and/or artistic. It's a special place chock full of beautiful work; the best place to shop in... More

Local colors has sea glass and pebble jewelry, elegant photography, thought-provoking paintings, repurposed-tin-can art, inspiring sculpture, beautiful not cards--everything ranging in price from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars. This is my go-to destination when shopping for gifts for friends and co-workers.
