You can see the lighthouse from the Fisherman's Memorial and watch boats sailing in the harbor. It was very picturesque.

You need to travel through the stone gates and past Beauport Museum. Worth the winding narrow road and past beautiful mansions which will bring you to your destination plus Dog Bar Breakwater. Good for sitting or sunning.

We passed by this landmark on our way out through the harbor...its situated on a small island called ten pound island, whose name origin is a mystery. It is a fun thing to see but not worth going out of your way to visit, unless...More

Gorgeous island in the center of the Gloucester Harbor. Accessible by boat, kayak or paddleboard. There is a lot of seaglass and poison ivy so just be careful if you start walking around in the trees.

A very peaceful place worth the trip. If you make Gloucester a stop along your visits of New England, stop here! You won't regret it

Deserted island accessible only by boat. The island was thick with seagulls so you had to be careful where you walked. It was fun to take land our dinghy on the beach and watch the schooners sail by.

Since the only way to get to Ten Pound Island is by boat is there a fairey or boat service that could take me to it? I ask because I do not own a boat.
