During our most recent visit to Gloucester, we were able to visit this lighthouse. The drive-up is spectacular, the houses are beautiful, however it feels like you're almost trespassing in a private neighborhood community. Once you get to the destination there's a $10 fee for...More

You can visit this lighthouse, but it does feel like you are trespassing to get there. Once you finally get to the lighthouse (through private neighborhoods and one-way roads), there is parking for a fee. The path to get to the jetty was overgrown, so...More

I wish the access were a bit better to this lovely lighthouse. There is a rough trail that goes around the outer fence toward the jettys that you can use. It will get you closer for photos without the towers and clutter around it. Be...More

We visited on a misty day, a small beaten path leads to the rocky pier, which I think was the highlight of our visit. Taking photos from the pier is beautiful!

Beautiful walk on jetty and great location for pictures. Pictures of the harbor, the lighthouse, the sailboats. Worth the winding drive through the neighborhood. Signs say "private road" but the only road that leads to the nationally owned and operated lighthouse as well as the...More

Easily accessible but you may have to pass a guard that imply's you are entering a private road. Passing by to get to the light is fine. You just have to say so. Once out to the lighthouse, walk out on the breakwater for some...More

Years ago there was always a parking spot available; sort of a unknown hideaway. Now that it is more well known, they want to charge for parking. I think it is worth the fee. The walk out onto the breakwater is... More
