At almost 20,000 square feet, this house is enormous. Thankfully it was renovated over the past 15 years or so from its dilapidated state of disuse and disrepair. The gardens are lovely to walk around and there are paths leading into the woods if you...More

A very nicely preserved home with a lovely sunken garden. When we visited there was a 3D quilt exhibit and two art exhibits. A pleasant hour spent.

The gardens around Highfield were so peaceful and pretty. The sunken garden, while small, is gorgeous. Loved the macrame webs in the old growth trees, too! The art that was being exhibited when we visited was super cool...as another reviewer said, the 3D quilts are...More

This is a restored/preserved mansion of the wealthy Beebe family in Falmouth. They have a lot of nice art work there and it is a serene setting. The brochure indicate you can spend an hour or a day there and this is true.

Typically New England in style and lovingly maintained. The walks in the forest within the estate, though lovely are not particularly well signposted

Wonderful restoration of the house. The gardens are beautiful and give a taste of yesteryear. They do not have the old furnishings but use the facility as a show place for art and crafts. A very worth while visit.
