Strong waves so be a good swimmer to tackle this beach. You may see dolphins off the coast on any given day. The beach is pristine and you can walk for miles. Off roading is also allowed if you have the right vehicle for it.

Such a gem of a beach but remember you need a beach pass. Get one from the hotel your at or town hall. Explore the other beaches too.

Amazing hoe clear the water was, too chilly to get in still, but everything was very clean and nice to take a walk on!

The sandy beach is well maintained and patrolled. There are lifeguard stations at reasonable distances from one another such that the coverage is good. The view is unobstructed. It's fun to watch the low flying planes and glider above.

Was here on vacation. Water was a little chilly but expected for the Atlantic. Did some boogie boarding and some football throwing. No sharks which was good and we had a very good time. Sand was pretty clean and the waves were decent sized. Life...More

It was a treat to visit Katama Beach in May. I enjoy this summer stop off, but really enjoyed the tranquility of the off season.

There is enough parking nearby that you should not have to walk a very great distance to get onto the beach. It is a level beach (but this could change over the winter based on what kind of storms there are). It gets a bit...More

You can't beat Katama beach for easy access and wide, sweeping expanses of sandy beach. There's no food or beverages offered for sale at the beach, so come with your own and you'll be happy. There is a good place on the way to the...More
