This lighthouse, having been moved inland a few hundred yards due to beach erosion, has an interesting history. It's not one of the most beautiful lighthouses or a particularly inspired presentation, but - it's a great example of a lost element of our nautical history....More

This light personifies Cape Cod. It's distinctive red and white paint reflects its unique red and white lights. You might recognize it from the Cape Cod Potato Chip bag.

My fav of the lighthouses we saw at the cape. You have to pay about $20 a day to park in the parking lot unless you have a National Parks card, in which case you get free parking. There is access to the beach from...More

The Nauset Light Beach parking lot is very popular in the in the summer so you do need to have a pass or pay a fee during the day. If you come for one of the 4:30 to 7:30 tours, let the ranger know and...More

This lighthouse is easily accessible from the Nauset Beach parking lot. Really beautiul and rustic. It's a really quick, slight uphill walk to get to the base of it. Also, there's a wooden, real life picture frame in a grassy area of the parking lot...More

What more to say. It's a fantastic place to spend a day or five at the beach. Frequent sightings of seals swimming off shore means you ought not swim far from the surf, but that's New England for you. Good amenities-showers, bath rooms. Eau to...More

Due to the colors of this lighthouse, it tends to stand out from some of the others in the area. Looks very New England-ish to those of us visiting from other areas of the country. It was easy to find and parking was very accessible.

Nauset Light was easy to find. A parking lot is across the street. The grounds are open to the public.

Excellent staff provided detailed information about the light and it's importance to the area. The lighthouse is located near a museum of the area and a walking path to the ocean cliffs which illustrates the extreme water erosian in the area.

Most amazing view from high above the beach. Never too crowded and lots of waves to play in. New path this year shoul make it easier to enjoy- no more giant staircase.

We shift the time of the tours to 4:30 - 7:30 pm this Sunday, May 28 so that you can tour Nauset Light without paying to park. If you arrive early while the booth is still manned, tell them you are there to tour the light... More
