This was a wonderful trail. Not steep and very beautiful views. The small sign to the parking lot was too high for a driver to see and was hidden behind trees and bushes. The trail had some signage, but could have used more. Sometimes it "said" you are here, but most times it did not. The trail was wonderful once... More

Off of North Road, there is a (somewhat small) sign marking the easy access to a parking area that holds about 16 cars and a portable toilet. The closest loop is Harris Loop which leads to Prospect Hill which is the second highest point on the Vineyard at 308 feet (highest peak is only three feet higher at 311 feet).... More

So many beautiful sights our Martha's Vineyard guide introduced us to during our tour of the island, plus the tip for getting the best souvenir purchases at the best prices!

From the woods trail to the beach, this TTOR property features some of the best of the Vineyard's views. Wildflowers and birdlife can distract you from the trail; watch out for poison ivy, and check for ticks after you leave! The beach is very rocky now and not easily traversed, as noted by other reviewers. It is still one of... More

This was a nice easy hike. We actually pushed a stroller thru most of it and then carried our 2 yr old the last little bit to the top. The view at prospect hill is nice but is somewhat marred by the trees. We did not walk to the other viewpoints so I can't comment on them.

We took the Island Bus and the friendly driver dropped us off at the small dirt road entrance marked only by a small green sign. There was a short walk to the parking area which has a porta-potty. We brought our own water. This was a pleasant walk mostly through tree lined loop path which takes you to a wooden... More

Amazing sunset. Unique and stands by itself. Arrived at the last few minutes before sunset, parked illegally and ended up mistakenly walking the fishing wharf (stank!) to the rocks and sunset. View is just as special as Phnom Bakheng if look from among the boats on the fish dock.

This hike would be excellent, except for the ticks and the poison ivy. Even if you stay on the trail, keep a sharp eye out for the poison ivy. This hike also has the dubious distinction of being the one that we gathered the most ticks on. All that being said, it was worth it, as this was one of... More

Great moderate hike by East Coast standards; Californians will find it easy. Either way, lovely sea views and forest paths. Charming wildflowers in bright colors all over the beach in early June. The path at the peak is not as well marked as it could be; we accidentally detoured onto what turned out to be tractor tracks and wood chips... More

Went on a beautiful walk to overtake my wife's Fitbit steps. Accomplished that and found a new spectacular view but would like to warn everyone about a section. When you walk, you will cross a road. About 200 yards after you cross you come to a loop. I usually go right as it is shorter to the platform (with the... More
