This is a fish market (closed when we went) however we went to see the fishing boats come in from their day's work. Someone at our inn suggested we go and watch the seals come in with the boats. It was so entertaining to watch!...More

We came here the last week in October and were disappointed to find the fabled market closed for the season. However, we visited the decks overlooking the harbor and were pleased to discover a number of large grey seals frolicking in the water just a...More

We stopped here on the recommendation of the visitor center. Parking is limited, and there is a walk from the parking lot to the pier. The fishing boats were unloading when we arrived. Seals and gulls were in abundance, waiting for any tidbits they might...More

Stopped in to see the Seals that swim up right there in front of you. While there I decided to check out their market. Ordered the Clam fritters and fries. Some of the best I have ever had and an entire box of fries with...More

Stopped to catch the fishing boats coming in at day's end. We missed the actual arrival, but the seals in the harbor were plentiful as were the birds. It was SO foggy that we didn't even realize the sandbars were right there! Had fun taking...More

Parking is limited, but you get a great view of the harbour and the fishing boats coming and going. Unfortunately the seals did not put in an appearance for us. The sculpture at the top of the steps called " Providers " says it all.

We stopped in to order lobsters, chowder, fries and onion rings. We definitely got our money's worth!! The view was amazing as we waited for our food. Definitely a perk!

Each day, as the fishermen return with their catch, the seals drift around the harbour in hopes of some snacks. Very nice to see the seals as they swim and float around the boats. Also very interesting to see the fishermen unloading their catch.

The seals are amazing and adorable. Happened to be there at a high tide in the evening as a few lobster boats came in. The seals appear to all be moochers along with the gulls. A big highlight of our trip, so fun.

A nice deck area to observe the seals around the fishing boats. There is also a fish market with take out seafood available although we did not try it,

Captain Mike on the Magic. Visit his website. Abdow Magic I believe. Or Abdow fishing. He leaves from the Chatham fish pier. Good sized boat. We used him for a striper charter and it was great.

There are some seals around when there are fishing boats at the docks. Otherwise you can see seals hauled out at low tide opposite the Chatham Bars Inn.
