My family and I attended the annual Sun Set hike at Blue Hills Ski Area. We were warmly greeted and given snacks for our hike up Big Blue to watch the sun set and take in the Fall foliage. We packed a picnic dinner to enjoy when we reached the top. Once we arrived at the top, there was hot... More

This is close to the city and is a great place to learn to ski. You don't have to drive 2 hours and they have season passes.

This is a great spot for beginner skiiers. The ski school is excellent and the beginner area is spacious and perfect for new skiiers. The magic carpet is very easy to use and offers 2 levels which was great as my kids progressed through the day. By the end of the first day on skiis both my kids were able... More

What a gem of a ski area. Helpful staff, great ski programs for the kids, priced so families can ski, and a mere traffic light or two out of the Boston city limits, what's not To love ..... Aside from parking being an issue, get there early .... Good is great and they cater To families

Very well run, different trail options, fun atmosphere for kid groups and family groups, quiet times early in the day.

Now that the snow is gone it's time to dust off the hiking shoe's. Blue Hills has a very doable hike for any level hiker and it provides a great view from the top at the observation area. Take a lunch and water in a day pack and get after it

Ok if you want Vermont skiing you need to go to Vermont. I like Blue Hills because it is down the road from me and great if you want to strap some skis on after work. I think it is great for families with children. The lift tickets are affordable, they have food, hot chocolate and pleasant staff. Plus with... More

When here 2 weeks ago as I'd visited here during the cold snap. Wanted something worthwhile to do. Decided to go skiing as I'd never done it before. I cannot fault the facilities or the staff as they were top notch and just what I needed to get rent ski's, boots, helmet, adult beginner lessons and time on the slopes.... More

We go here regularly for afternoon and weekend skiing with the kids. If you want little kids to get in some runs without having to go all the way up north, this is a good solution. Season passes are cheap, staff is friendly and they work hard to keep snow on the little runs.

Without doubt the most dis-organised kids ski lessons that I have ever been at. Parking is very bad. One week I sat there wondering where my kid was along with other parents and it turned out the instructor had taken them back to the lodge via the back of the hill, without telling any of us. The next week, they... More
