I have driven over the canal for years and never knew there was a canal tour until the man I rented from suggested taking the tour. The tour showed many points of interest and told history of the businesses that day along the banks and the construction of the canal. The tour is great but may be boring to young... More

The Cape Cod Canal is seven miles long from beginning to end but you can walk or bike any portion of it. The scenery is beautiful. The canal is right next to you.

Have been coming down to the canal all my life. First as a little kid with my dad to go fishing, and throughout the years for walking and biking. A great place to make memories.

A walk on the Cape Cod Canal is a great place to get exercise. Very flat path. From end to end is abut 7 mile one way. There is one parking lot off of Bell Ave in Gray Gable, another parking is under the Bourne bridge on the cape side of the canal.

Peaceful place on either side of the canal to walk, bike or jog. Mile markers, benches and ample parking make this special part of Cape Cod, a must for the outdoors men. Plenty of fishing spots also. Safe area for children and seniors. If you are an artist or a photography buff, you will love life along the canal. Enjoy... More

The Canal divides the Cape from the mainland of Massachusetts. There is a trail alongside the entire length of about 15 nautical miles. Ships of all kinds traverse the canal to save the 170 some nm around Cape Cod. Good for walking, biking or fishing. It is not crowded even in the height of the summer season. The water height...
