As I live only a few blocks away, it's definitely my local theater and I go somewhat regularly. But that's really mostly out of convenience. You'd assume the tickets would be noticeably less than the major theaters, but the cost is pretty close. It's nice that you can bring food in with you, but at the same time people can... More

This theater is a Belmont institution, around forever. Had to close, some renovations, and now reopened. On a stretch of Trapelo Road in western Belmont between Cushing and Waverley Square, with Art's across the street, for wine, beer, cheese, nuts, coffee, you name it, all gourmet; and Jayne's Flowers, pizza and sub shops, a lot going on in this block.... How can you beat the friendly owner selling you two for Tuesday tickets with the popcorn machine popping away. This place is not a luxurious theater but rather charming in its old style seats and several tables for your take in dinner.

Great classic theatre! Nice folks. We love coming here! Saw "Sully" here twice - the movie is that good, the theatre is that nice. No, it has not been fully renovated - or for that matter duplexed etc - just a nice cinema palace in the 'hood.

This was my first time at this little theater. I went to the closing night reception for their film festival and also a movie. I understand that the people at the cinema choose the films themselves. I believe this one (Casa Grande) was an award winner – great film anyway. There was a nice reception with Brazilian food – delicious!!... More

The Belmont Studio Cinema is an old fashioned movie theater--only one screen, but crystal clear digital movies. Some of the seats have given up the ghost and have instead been replaced by tables--so you can put your fresh popcorn in front of you as you watch. Some of the movies are brand new, some are classics. Eons ago my friends... More

The Belmont Studio Cinema brings you back to the old days of local theaters. The management has preserved the original movie projector. So you see a movie on updated equipment but still have the old time decor.

This place is the bees knees! Great seating, with a place to put your food and drink. Community feeling. Great popcorn. I strongly recommend seeing a movie here if the time and movie is right.

Good prices, good popcorn and next door to terrific burrito place-you can bring the food into the theater to eat during the movie. They have first-run movies and special events, like international films. Support your local businesses and give it a try!
