Great boat, lots of room to move around, food on offer and places to sit. Good information about whales given and a nice ride out into the ocean to get the spot where you watch for whales. Most importantly there were a lot of whales! We had one sighting after another, it was great. One tip, wear layers, its cold... More

Even though we went on this four hour whale watching excursion on a chilly May Day, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We saw humpback and finback whales as well as a seal. We even had a tiny bird hitch a ride on the boat as it grew too tired to make it to land. The naturalist was very knowledgeable and the... More

So happy to hear you enjoyed yourselves! It was fun to see humpbacks- Spoon and Sabot catching up with each other. They are some big humpbacks! The little bird, a chestnut-sided warbler appreciated the lift as well. Hope we see you again and thanks for the kind words! More

But Ptwn is closer to Whales. Been on several vessels in both places now. Just have to hit it right with the whale spotting. Of course chilly on water in May and Oct! It was the hottest day in a while and first Spring like day of the season. BUT the whales were hiding Saw a few but not as... More

This is quite a long trip, we were 4 1/2 hours but seeing the whales made it so worthwhile. The guide was very informative providing information on the way out and providing guidance on where to look when we reached the whales. Some of the whales were up close to the boat and you could see what magnificent creatures they... More

We're so glad you enjoyed your trip with us. Ditto the long trips, but we maintain a federally mandated speed restriction in Cape Cod Bay from January 1st until May 15th to add a layer of protection for the critically endangered North Atlantic right whales. Today is the 16th so we're up and running full speed so if you come... More

Visiting Cape Cod and watching whales in May wasn't supposed to be the way of doing it. Aside the chilling lower than average temperatures, we had a thrilling experience upon the Whale Watcher. Our hosts John, Clare and Hannah (naturalist and whale experts respectively) were friendly and knowledgeable about the whales. There was even a bit of whale to touch... More

Yes indeed! That was a great trip! We were happy that everyone got the distant look at the North Atlantic right whale that day. Its sudden appearance legitimizes the slow travel speed we observe in early Spring to help give this critically endangered species a fighting chance at survival. It sure was worth it though, the humpbacks we found later... More

The ship is comfortable, and the crew is knowledgeable. We saw quite a number of whales - many finbacks, a rarer Sei whale, and towards the end the endangered right whale.

Great trip. Naturalist was very animated, had great voice, well rehearsed outbound script of local points. This trip stayed within the confines of Cape Cod bay which surprisingly had many species of whales. On this trip we saw Right whales, Finback whales, and Sei whales. The Finbacks were the easiest to follow with a predictable feeding pattern. The captain was... More

Thanks for your review! The right whales we were able to observe as we transit further up Cape Cod Bay are the rarest of the rare to observe. Exciting even at a distance! Sounds like the sei whales gave a great performance too, very cool even for our seasoned crew. another seldom seen early season rarity! So glad you enjoyed... More

Went on the first trip,of the season and were not disappointed. Saw approx 50 right whales plus another one feeding. The tour guide certainly knew what to look for and where to go to see the most whales and we certainly did. It's was amazing to see and can highly recommend 👍

Way overdue in writing this review, as we did this last summer (and the summer before), but June of 2016 was the most memorable. We went on one of the last "shoulder" season cruises, so there was only 1 trip per day, so no schedule, no rush, and boy, did that pay off!! We took the same route as the... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your trip and thank you for the kind words. I remember the trip you are referring to. We are continuously striving to balance the expectations of our passengers and the safety of the whales. Sometimes having to move away from congested boat traffic means we will miss some of the action but it appears... More
