Brookside gardens is a lovely and peaceful oasis in a mostly urban area. It's always well tended and has many lovely places to enjoy for families or single people. The vegetation and planting change with the season. There are indoor and outdoor gardens, tennis courts, an ice skating rink, barbecue areas, a small train ride in the summer for kids... More

I don't know where I heard of this place, but decided to check it out on Sunday. I'm sure glad we did! The grounds are just beautiful! It is worth spending a day here in the beautiful scenery. You will see just lovely gardens and if you are lucky, some wildlife too! I want to come back in the fall... More

I have been to the Brookside Gardens on many occasions. My most recent visit was in the autumn to look at the fall foliage. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. They are a great place to get away from stress of the outside world. Find yourself a nice bench to sit on and enjoy the peacefulness. The greenhouse should... More

It was a really beautiful collection of plants. Even there is a nature vlass for young children. Good things to do to keep children busy and help them to learn while adult enjoy themselves.

This is a great place to drop in to learn more about the area. I found this place when I wanted to learn more about the trails and appreciated the map. Also a good place to start your forest hike ... they have clean restrooms!

This is the place to unwind, along with the Botanical Gardens, Pine Lake, and the Japanese Tea House. You can go horse riding nearby. When most people thing of Wheaton, they think of the shopping center. This is a world away. Take a load off and relax here. Great nature trail!

A wonderful complement to the Brookside Gardens, the Brookside Nature Center is both educational and fun. Wonderful displays of local plants and blossoms (sometimes there are photo exhibits with striking images for purchase), and knowledgeable staff who seem to delight in sharing information. Be sure to stop in!

What a fun place for a walk. You can walk for miles or just a little. I particularly enjoy the paths that go along the water.
