Walking around the grounds in a quiet and beautiful compound. Nice pathways and plenty of parking. (Restrooms too.) I lived in the area 40 years and never visited until a week ago. Now one of my favorite spots in the Rockville area,

There is a 1 mile paved path around Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park. Therefore, it is imminently walkable. There are lakes, rose gardens, other flower gardens, an indoor botanical garden, and a butterfly house.

slow stroll in a great setting, part of the Wheaton Regional Park. Year round special programs, like the butterfly show, water lights, etc. Or just great to find a pot to relax.

A lovely place to visit, great way to spend an afternoon with friends or family, or even by yourself. Free admission. Plants, flowers, wildlife. Educational experiences, sometimes even plant sales and butterfly exhibits.

Butterflies are enclosed in a greenhouse so there are hundreds. There are also butterflies in the gardens but not so many.
