Nature right here in my own backyard to fully enjoy. So peaceful and serene. Nature trails, informative classes, boating and a super staff.

It was 100* but most of the trail is shaded. Would have spent more time at osprey nest if it wasn't so hot. Nature center person was super nice and knowledgeable! Very patient with small kids!!

I live in the community and often horseback ride through Merkle quite frequently. Beautiful, quiet trails, along the Patuxent River, views of ospreys, Bald Eagles and other water fowl. Occasional fox, water turtle, etc.

A beautiful place to hike, and a really neat nature center. We were rather offended however, that the employee did not even both to greet us in the nature center.

I went here with my three kids here early March on a visit to the nature center and we ventured on two trails Paw Paw and Mounds. We can't wait to come back and do more!
